Background

Danielle M. Pineda, MD, earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Biology in 2004 from Villanova University, where she graduated Cum Laude. In 2008, she earned her medical degree from Jefferson Medical College. Dr. Pineda completed her residency at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital in 2014. She completed a fellowship at Pennsylvania Hospital in 2016.

Dr. Pineda was awarded the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network Award for Best Resident/Fellow Presentation in 2012. In 2014, she received a Medical Student Teaching Award. In 2016, Dr. Pineda was runner up in the Society for Clinical Vascular Surgery’s Top Gun Surgical Skills Competition, a finalist in the Society for Clinical Vascular Surgery’s Karmody Poster Competition, and first place winner of the Delaware Valley Vascular Society’s Annual Care Report Competition.

She has peer reviewed publications on endovascular aneurysm repair, endoleak after aneurysm repair, dialysis graft patency, popliteal artery grafts, duplex ultrasonography, pancreatic cancer, and lung cancer.

Dr. Pineda co-authored a book chapter on knee reconstruction, replacement, and revision.

She has made several presentations at medical meetings and symposiums. Most recently she presented at the Eastern Vascular Society Annual Meeting in September 2016.
