Dr. Seth Newman joined Surgical Care Specialists in 2002 and cares for patients with a wide variety of general surgical conditions. His areas of special surgical interest include:
- Minimally invasive surgery (robotics and laparoscopy)
- Gallbladder surgery
- Hernia and complex abdominal surgery with reconstruction
Dr. Newman's graduate medical education has been distinguished by awards for teaching and research. While in medical school, he was elected to the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society. He has been recognized by Philadelphia Magazine Top Doctors for multiple years.
Dr. Newman is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons; he is also a member of the Pennsylvania Medical Society, Montgomery County Medical Society, Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society, American Hernia Society, and Society of American Gastrointestinal Endoscopic Surgeons.
Dr. Newman enjoys spending time with his family, including his two dogs. He also enjoys international medical volunteering, scuba diving, and traveling.
